Telemedicine
A modular product to suit all possible needs!

MIR has developed a telemedicine system which enables medical professionals to monitor patient's spirometry and oximetry data remotely.

Architecture The system consists of several modules, which are completely customizable to better suit the requirements of the particular project.

    The modules are:

Patient   PATIENT module, for data transfer:
Instrument (spirometer-oximeter) equipped with a speaker which enables the device to transfer the data via acoustic coupling over a normal phone line
PC software which enables sending of the test data via internet when the device has been connected to the PC using the USB port
Software for the Bluetooth mobile phone with Java support to send the data from the device directly through the mobile phone

Server   SERVER module for data reception:
Software for PC/server for data reception via modem
Software for PC/server for data reception via internet
MIR Data reception service (in this case the service of data reception is supplied by MIR)

Doctor

DOCTOR module for test data reading and diagnosis:
winspiroPRO PC software which enables data reception from the central server and data elaboration
winspiroPRO PC software via internet which enables data reception from the central server as well as data elaboration using the CITRIX platform

The MIR telemedicine system is constantly updated with new features and instruments. The system can also be tailored to meet specific requirements by the MIR research and development team.
